I’m sure you’re all familiar with this refrain by now, so sing it with me. No vaccinations! No mandates! Back to cash! Protect our freeeeeeedoms!
There is literally nothing to distinguish Damien Richardson from the handful of other candidates out there on the lunatic fringe this election. Actually, I tell a lie – if anything, he’s even more incoherent than most. If you read his policies, you’ll see claims that health food stores were punished during the pandemic (because something something Maccas). You’ll read about being banned from Nanna’s lounge room. And there’s something about pregnant women and Facebook that I really don’t understand, but apparently that’s the government’s fault, too.
Honestly, folks, I’m sick and tired of reading this nonsense over and over again. Richardson even waxes lyrical about how terrible it is that we have bitumen roads now instead of bluestone cobbles! He offers nothing but empty promises based on pure fantasy (I won’t dignify it by calling it pseudo-science), and it’s pretty clear he’s only interested in preaching to the people he speaks to at anti-vax rallies. He doesn’t even mention, on his website, that he’s standing for a Victorian Senate seat – I had to go to the AEC to find that out.
I’ve given him three paragraphs. That’s more than he deserves.
As for John McBride … well, he’s a cypher. Looking for information about his policies leads to a podcast of an interview by the Fifth Estate and to a private Facebook group called “Team Damo”. I’ll confess, I didn’t listen to the entire 90 minute interview. McBride described himself as coming from a “traditional Labor” family, but segued quickly into rambling about the Magna Carta, how “the collective wants to subsume the rights of the individual,” and it devolved from there.
Don’t waste your time.

Could be the John McBride who ran for the DLP in Northern Metropolitan in 2018 Victorian election.

He actually seems more informed than Albo or Scomo… I certainly wouldnt write him off.
Clearly the writer of this blog is so far left, they even find the greens far right… sad to see such unobjective advice.
