We love that so many of you want to support this project, it’s so flattering every time someone brings it up. But we feel a little awkward about taking your money. This is, after all, not our project, but one we’re continuing for our dear friend Catherine.
So while we ourselves politely decline your donations, Catherine’s former employer, on the other hand, can always find a use for them. You can donate to the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) here – there’s even an option to specifically donate to the Catherine McLean Travel Grant if you feel so inclined, although we suggest that Greatest Need is the best option. And feel free to put “In memory of Catherine McLean” in the comments field if you feel so inclined.
There’s also the option to support Loki more directly – each October he rides to raise money for one of his favourite charities, the Children’s Medical Research Institute, who are searching for better treatments and even cures for childhood cancer. You can donate to support his ride here. And if you donate on October 21, your donation will be matched by corporate donors!
